Pinehurst Church

When the kids went on their horse ride, Bryan had pointed out an old church not far from the cabin.  So on one afternoon, we decided to go exploring and find it.  We weren't too sure how far away it was, so we took the truck, then walked around once we found it.  (It turned out to be just up the road, and we could have just walked.)

The doors were locked, so we had to just look in through the windows.

The kids were just semi impressed with the church, but the outhouse....now that was fascinating.

The kids were amazed at how big some of the trees were.

Owen just liked jumping off the church porch.

The kids climbed around on some rocks nearby.

As us girls were posing for this picture, Owen was really annoyed because he wanted to move that log.  After we stepped away, he spent quite a bit of time pushing and pulling the log back and forth.  Crazy kid.

And I don't know what it is about seeing my kids hold their dad's hand - it just melts my heart.

When it came time to walk past a rut in the road, Owen preferred to cross it this way....

And since it had turned out to be so close (and because Sara needed some extra alone time), we decided to walk back to the cabin.
