Summer Fun

Friday after I picked the kids up from science camp/swimming, I had them stay in their swimsuits.  And then that evening, we headed out for some summer evening fun.  We swung through the McDonald's drive through and got the little boys chicken nuggets, then went to Heritage Park (downtown Eagle) to eat and play in the fountains.  (Is it terrible that I find Nate's white bum hilarious?)

The older kids wanted Subway (which is right across from the park), so Scott walked them over to get sandwiches.

Kate was a gem, and was happy in her carseat while everyone ate.

The boys loved climbing in the tree.

They also loved splashing around in the fountains.

And of course, we can't go to Heritage Park, without getting snow cones at the shaved ice shack.  Owen loved that this year he was old enough to get his very own (instead of just getting bites of Mom and Dad's).

Savannah enjoyed walking around with Kate, and having strangers comment on how cute she is.

I love this little chubby face.
By the end, Kate fell asleep.  She loves being outdoors, and the heat totally relaxes her.

When the kids had exhausted themselves playing at the park, we loaded up and went for frozen yogurt.  We have such a hard time getting out for fun these days, so we have to pack those times full of fun.

It was such a nice evening.  Everyone got along, we didn't have fighting, the kids were just carefree having fun.  I wish everyday could be like that.

Tummy Time

More tummy time...I just can't get enough of this cute little blue eyed girl.

Pinehurst

A couple of weeks ago, Scott had the opportunity of going to North Carolina and golfing at Pinehurst.  I'm not a golfer, but I've been told it's an elite course.  Scott came back raving about how hard the course was (but loving it at the same time).

I was happy he had the opportunity to go, but found myself more than just a little exhausted being left with all 7 kids on my own (Kate doesn't let me get much sleep at night).  So this last week, Scott took off work for an afternoon (which is a big deal, because he's been so busy at work and working long hours), and sent me to the spa.  I had a massage, a facial, and a manicure.  It was heavenly and much needed time alone.  I have a great husband.
