Pioneer Day

Our family attended our Stake Pioneer Day celebration the Saturday after Josh's birthday.  Josh's birthday is on Pioneer Day, and when he was little, he used the think this celebration was for him.  It's a family favorite tradition.

Our kids love the free unlimited snow cones.  I think Josh ate 4!

 Fishing for prizes.

The kids all love the horse rides!  Except Owen, he was too scared to even pet the horse.

Sara and Scott participated in the three legged races.

Kate was a huge fan of the cake walk!

And all the kids enjoyed the dunk tank.  Josh was the first to be in line to get dunked.

Before long, Josh's brothers had joined him in line to take turns getting dunked.

Nate showed no fear!

Aaron got up on the plank determined to be brave.  But as soon as he looked down at the water, he decided it wasn't for him, and climbed out.  He was much more comfortable on the throwing end of the dunk tank.

I can't count how many times Josh took a turn in the dunk tank.

Such a fun morning.  I love that our stake does this every year.  And I'm so thankful for the pioneers that we honor with this holiday!
