Father/Son Campout

My boys look forward to the Father/Son campout every single year.  After getting rained out at Rendezvouz, going camping was just what Aaron needed to get cheered up.  All the boys loaded up to head out for adventure.

The girls and I (and Gabe) spent the evening at my cousin Jared's wedding and reception.

The boys managed to stay dry and had a blast.

The camp was right next to a hill, and the boys had the best time climbing up and down that hill.

One of the times coming down the hill, Nate was running so fast that he couldn't stop, and ran right through a bush.  He survived.

This picture is dark, but you can make out the outline of trees.  That bright dot of light is the boys carrying the lantern as they climb down the hill one last time.

The next morning the boys enjoyed breakfast and some knife throwing.

Another few trips up and down the hill.

They also took a dip in a hot springs (the name of the campground was "Hot Springs").

And then they returned home to us girls, a little dirty and tired, but very happy.
