Flag Football

The Spring season of flag football is underway!  This season Nate joined his big brothers and is enjoying his first football experience.  They are all playing in the unified division for Special Olympics, and I am loving this program again.  It's such a great environment for the boys.  They only have 5 games this season (Spring is a shorter season than Fall).  It's been a great way to spend our Friday nights.

I love that all three boys get to play together on the same team.

Game 2 the boys got face paint!

It made Aaron's night when his therapist, Miss Rachel, came to his last game.  I love this girl.  She has been so amazing with Aaron and he has made so much progress with her.  This is the girl who got Aaron to eat a jalapeno pepper!  She was so cute playing with Kate on the sidelines during the game.

Half way through the season, Coach Gabe talked to us about moving Josh up to play on the teen/adult football team.  Josh is still playing with his brothers, but now he also gets to spend his Tuesday nights practicing with the older team.  He's loving it.  I'm so proud of him being for a special olympics volunteer!
