Easter Saturday

The Saturday before Easter, we decided to attend the Nazarene Church's Easter egg hunt.  Our friends tThe Moores had gone the year before, and had lots of fun, so we decided to give it a try this year.  It turned out to be lots of fun!  They had egg hunts staggered over the afternoon, and divided them by age so the little kids weren't competing with the big kids.  Kate got to go first.  We hadn't thought to bring a basket or sack, so Kate used her pockets.  It was so cute watching her stuff her pockets with the eggs.

Owen and Nate were in the same age group for the next egg hunt.

The egg hunt started, and the boys started collecting eggs.

Right away Nate grabbed the egg Owen was hoping to get, and Owen sat right down and cried.  He missed the whole egg hunt.

Owen cheered up when he got to go ride in the train.

Nate took a turn too.

Kate fell asleep while on Scott's shoulders.  It was such a cute sight!

I was worried Kate might fall, so we transferred her to my shoulder, and she slept for most of the rest of the activity.

Aaron waited in a long line to do this jousting.  He was so focused when doing it, and didn't get knocked off.

Savannah and Josh had decided to stay home (they aren't into egg hunts and bounce houses these days).  When we got home, Savannah had some sugar cookies underway.  She looked up a recipe and made them all by herself (she let Kate help a little).  I was so proud of her!

And while all of us were enjoying tasting Savannah's beautiful cookies, poor Josh had another round of sickness hit him.  We spent a solid month with someone puking every other day.  Poor Josh got it 3 times!
