Angel Moroni

Over the summer, Savannah had a babysitting job watching Sam, a 4 year old, twice a week while his mom went to school at BSU. Sam's dad was working construction on the new Meridian temple. One evening, Sam's mom called to say that the next morning they would be placing the Angel Moroni on top of the temple. It was super secret, we couldn't tell anyone (they didn't want to create a traffic problem on the busy road in front of the temple). She had to be in class, but she wanted Sam to get to see it. So, our family got the exclusive invitation to go and take Sam to witness the placing of Moroni. It was such an amazing opportunity. There were only a few other families that were invited to attend.

We watched from chairs in front of the stake center that shares a parking lot with the temple.  We had to get up super early to go, so Owen was still in his pajamas.

Getting the cranes in place.

All the news stations were there covering it.

We got to see and touch the marble baseboard that would get installed on the inside of the temple.

The kids were so excited to watch the news that night and see our family on TV.
