Kindergarten Field Trip to the Zoo

Nathan is our fifth child to go through kindergarten at Eagle Elementary. At the end of every kindergarten year, the kids go on a field trip to Zoo Boise. It's a tradition of ours to have our whole family (those that aren't in school) go on the field trip with our kindergartner. And after doing it with 4 kids, you have to do it with your 5th. So Scott took off work, and I loaded up Owen and Kate, and we went with Nate on his field trip to the zoo.
There are always so many parents that show up to chaperone, that each parent ends up with a really small group of kids to be in charge of.  We only had one extra-a cute little boy named Alex from Nate's class.
Keeping an eye on the jellies.
Kate loved watching the lions!  Her expressions were so cute!

Petting a llama.  Notice Owen on the slide in the background.  He was more interested in the slide than with the actual animals.
We ended the morning with lunch in the park.
Kate was a doll the whole morning.  She was strapped in the stroller the whole time, and missed her morning nap, but was happy and patient the whole time.

Kate was a trooper at the zoo and was cheerful the whole time, even with missing her morning nap. But, as soon as we got in the car to come home, she crashed. Sweet baby girl.
