Snow!

The whole month of December went by without any snow, and my kids were so worried we wouldn't have a white Christmas.  But then on the afternoon of Christmas Eve, snow finally started falling and falling and falling.

Kate wanted to build a snowman, so Savannah got her all dressed up and sent her outside to play.

I pulled out all the winter gear and went to work getting all the other kids dressed in snow gear (which was quite the process).  When everyone was all dressed, we loaded in the van and drove to our new lot.  The kids had been dying to go sledding on our hill, and we finally had enough snow to do it!

The first time down the hill, Scott crashed with Kate, and she was not very happy about it.  But she was brave enough to give it another try and ended up loving it!  She couldn't get enough of sledding.

Our neighbor Sydney came with us and brought a little snowboard.  All the big kids had lots of fun trying to stay standing the whole way down the hill on it.

Her daddy was Kate's favorite sledding partner.

Scott gave the snowboard a try.  He wasn't very successful.

It was so fun being at our lot, and watching the kids have fun and make memories there.  I can't wait till it's our home.  Every time I visit the lot, I come away with such a sense of peace, knowing that it where we are supposed to live.  Standing at the bottom, looking around, I was reminded again at how massive the lot is.  It's huge!
