Christmas Eve

After sledding for hours, we headed home to defrost and get ready for Scott's family to come over for Christmas Eve dinner.  We broke from their family tradition of a seafood dinner (which our kids aren't huge fans of) and went with my family's tradition of fondue.  We had meatballs and cheese fondue, and had fruit and a chocolate fountain.  All the cousins had fun playing and eating, then playing and eating some more.

The chocolate fountain was a huge hit with the kids.

After everyone went home, the kids got to open up their traditional Christmas Eve pajamas, and then we did pictures around the tree.

The boys all were matching.  I still can't believe I'm going to have a 5th boy soon!

And the girls were all matching too!

Kate kept applying lip gloss through all the pictures.

Then we moved upstairs to settle everyone into bed.  We continued the tradition of dragging mattresses into the bonus room so they could all sleep together.  It took watching a few movies before the kids' excitement finally settled down enough to think about sleeping.

Kate ended up having too hard of a time falling asleep with all the kids, so we brought her down to our chair in our bedroom (that's the only place she will sleep these days).  The other kids finally fell asleep around 12:30 and Kate fell asleep around 1:00.  And we all hoped that Santa would come!
