Emmett Country Christmas

Two Saturdays ago (I'm a little behind on updating this blog), we made the 45 minute drive out to Emmett to see Santa. Our favorite Little Gym teacher Miss Catti (who recently quit teaching gymnastics to go teach at a preschool) told us about it, and we couldn't pass up an opportunity to go see her. It was so worth the drive. It was held at a ranch, and was very kid friendly and was free! They asked everyone to bring old coats to donate to those in need, so we gathered up our old ones to donate. It was a great community event.

Miss Catti was taking free family pictures for everyone. Here's ours:

The kids got to pet a little horse....

Then goats....

Then the kids got to see Santa. They each got to sit on his lap, and then pick out a stuffed animal from under the tree (donated used and washed stuffed animals). Our little boys were especially thrilled with their new stuffed friends. Aaron has slept with his bear every night since then.

Then the kids got to take little wagon rides....

Last was the big giant horse that all the kids got to sit on. (And while it looks like it was snowing, it really wasn't. It was just really dusty and my flash kept reflecting on the dust.)

After all the kids had taken a turn sitting up on the horse, Aaron realized there was another horse around the corner, and he snuck over on his own to take a turn on it. I was taking Sara's picture and realized that Aaron was right behind her. So then all the kids took a turn on that horse, too.

The kids had such a fun time and behaved so well. On the long drive home, Owen fell asleep. I couldn't resist taking pictures of his red little cheeks.
