Veteran's Day

Aaron's 3rd grade class did a music program for Veteran's Day.  Aaron was so excited about it.  They asked the kids to invite family and friends that are/were in the military, to honor them.  Aaron immediately called his Grandpa Sorensen and invited him.  Grandma and Grandpa were planning to come, but a few days before the performance, my dad had to have outpatient surgery, so they couldn't make it.  But we invited Randy at the last minute, and he came and played the grandpa role for Aaron.  We were also very happy to have Scott home for the performance!  Aaron did awesome.  He knew his speaking part perfectly, and sang out loud and strong on every song.

The kids were asked to send in family pictures of military to be included in a slide show.  Grandpa Sorensen came through with sending lots of great pictures.  The music teacher told me at the performance, that we had submitted the oldest photo (from World War I).  The slide show was such a great tribute to all the men and women who had served our country.
