Nate Turns 8

Nate turned 8 year old on August 5th.  Things had been crazy leading up to his birthday (with the move), and I hadn't had a chance to look for a birthday present.  A few days before his birthday, I asked him what he wanted.  He said "an electric scooter".  So I got on Amazon and ordered one that arrived the day before his birthday.  Then the day before his birthday, Josh reminded me that our standard 8th birthday gift is engraved scriptures and a case.  So, we rushed off to the bookstore to get some scriptures too.  So Nate got two big presents for his 8th birthday - lucky kid.

Mike and Shauna came for cake and ice cream.  We love having them live close.  Aunt Shauna let Gabe sample her cake.

New scriptures and scripture case.

Bow ties for church.

Lots of yummy candy and gum.

Now for the big surprise (that wasn't really a surprise because he had asked for it).

Even though it was getting dark, we had to try it out.

Everybody got a turn.

I am so glad that Nate joined our family 8 years ago.  He has been a joy to raise.
