Newborn Check Up

My parents didn't stay long with all the kids.  They had been at the hospital waiting during the last hour of delivery, so they stayed for about an hour after delivery, then headed home.  Savannah and Sara wanted to stay longer.

A nurse from the newborn nursery came down to do Gabe's newborn check up.  Savannah and Sara were able to stand by and watch.

Sara got to listen to his heart.

Savannah loved that he grabbed onto her finger.

After he got all checked out, I got to spend a little more time with him.

 

 

Scott also got to take a turn.

Meeting the Family

I loved that I had my girls in with me when Gabe was born. The birth of a baby is a miracle, and I love that they were able to experience it with me.  My dr took a picture of us before he left.

And then it was time for Gabe to meet the rest of his family.  All the kids came back into the room and got to meet their new little brother, one on one. Kate didn't want to let everyone have a turn. She wanted to keep him for herself.
