For Aaron's birthday, he wanted to go to Grandma Sorensen's house, so we took the Memorial Day three day weekend and went to Aberdeen. We got there late Friday night (Aaron's actual birthday), so we waited till Saturday to do our real celebrating.
We brought our presents from our house and had Aaron open them at Grandma's. He got an inflatable swimming pool, fire man boots, licorice, plastic golf clubs, and sand toys from us. Grandma and Grandpa Sorensen gave him Sponge Bob jammies and a magnifying glass.
After presents, my mom had arranged for our old home teacher to take Aaron for a ride in his tractor. When we pulled up and got out of the car, the boys instantly ran to look at how gigantic the tires on the tractors were. The girls were more interested in the friendly dog.
Aaron was so excited about going for a tractor ride. Jack was so great to take time out of his day to help us out.
I can only imagine the stories he's telling Jack.
And off they go....
They drove around and around. Aaron really liked the hill, so Jack drove up and down the hill over and over.
While Aaron was riding in the tractor, the other kids entertained themselves on the row of stationary tractors.
Next up was Nate....
Then Sara...
More entertaining while we wait...
Josh's turn...
And Savannah was patient enough to wait till the end. She surprised us all, that when the tractor came back into view, she was doing the driving. She was really proud of herself, and talked about how she got to drive the rest of the day
And since it was Aaron's birthday, he got to have another turn at the end.
Wow, that's a lot of pictures (that's what happens when you have 6 kids to photograph). And that's just half of our fun that day. I think I'll save the other half for another post.

How fun! Isn't it funny to see your kids marvel over things we saw everyday?
And how fun to see into your parents house after all these years!
Was that Jack Poulson? He looked so much like my dad that I had to remind myself the my dad was in Utah.
I wish I could have been there that weekend :)
