A Visit from Ashley McPhie

Ashley McPhie was Savannah's best friend since Kindergarten. She moved clear across the country a few years ago, and we have all really missed her for Savannah. Savannah was so excited when Ashley called to say they were coming for a visit!  Savannah called all of Ashley's old friends and tried to arrange a get together.  Of course, it's summer, so most of the girls were busy.  Ellie Cameron was the only one who could come for the swimming part of the day.  I got pizza for lunch, then we headed over to the Corrente Bello pool.

The girls had so much fun having me take pictures of them jumping into the pool together (it took lots of attempts to capture each jump).

My other kids enjoyed getting to come swimming too.

After swimming, they collected another friend, Olivia.  They all hung out in the hammock and giggled and talked.

Then we collected Brynne too, and I took the girls for ice cream at Aspen Leaf.  I sat back and watched as they giggled over the cute boys across the room. 

Then we picked up even more girls (Kate and Brynlee), for the drive out to Star to take Ashley back to her parents. 

It was so wonderful to see these two back together for the day.  I wish we could have kept Ashley longer.  She is so good for Savannah.  We hope she can come visit again before too long.
