For the 4th of July, we had a barbeque at our house and invited Mike and Jo, Marc and Kenna, and Anne and her kids over for burgers and hot dogs. Marc and Kenna and Mike and Jo couldn't stay for fireworks, but Anne stayed. Dan also came over and joined us, as did the Carter family. Our cul-de-sac gathering was smaller than other years, but it was still quite the show.
We started off the fireworks with a parade put on by the Carter girls and Aaron and Nate.

Poor Kate, she really did not like the fireworks. She sat through a few, then Savannah took her inside to the couch to watch a movie. Maybe next year she'll like them more.
We enjoyed a great fireworks show, and loved getting to hang out with friends. When we ended the night and went in the house, this is how we found little Kate.
