Thursday was a big day for pictures, so I've tried to break it up into multiple posts.
After strolling through the roses at Julia Davis Park, it was dinner time. We went to Red Robin in downtown Boise. The kids ate well and behaved great. After dinner, we drove to Kathryn Albertson Park. I was a little worried about how the kids would react to this. We told them we were going to a park--which usually means slide, swings, etc. But this is a nature park with no toys. They didn't seem to even care, and loved walking through this park and enjoying the scenery.
These two decided to be best friends on our walk.
We encountered geese on our walk. The kids posed by a tree that dated back to before the Mayflower. And they just enjoyed the freedom to run and explore.
Savannah was brimming with confidence from her photography adventures at Julia Davis Park, so I let her take the camera again and take some picture.
Owen slept for a bit, then woke up and enjoyed the scenery
We spotted a deer while we were walking.
And at the end of our walk, we let the kids pose with the letters of the Albertson sign (there was a letter for each of the kids' names except Josh).
After all that walking, the kids were ready for a cold treat. So we went to Blue Cow and let the kids create their own frozen yogurt treats. I personally don't think strawberry banana frozen yogurt filled with sweedish fish, sprinkles, gummy bears, gummy worms, M&Ms, chocolate chips, etc. sounds very appetizing, but the kids eat it right up. It was a great day full of activities.
