Beautiful Weather

We've had unseasonably warm weather the last few weeks.  It's been wonderful.  We are able to take the lights down off the roof.  Savannah "helped".

We've been able to get some walks in.

Kate especially loves being able to get outside.  She fights having to come back in.  Every time we bring her in from outside, she throws herself on the floor and cries.

And while I wouldn't say it's been warm enough to merit popsicles, Nate and Liam thought otherwise.

I'm hoping this sunshine sticks around for a bit!

Potty Training

Owen decided it was time to potty train Kate.  He got his old potty seat out for her, and was trying his best to tell her how to use it.  She was a little confused.  I think we might need to wait and try it again in another 6 months.

Josh Choir

Josh had another choir concert.  I'm pretty sure he lip syncs most of the songs, but he still looks good doing it.  I love that he still will sneak a little wave in to me when he walks out on stage.

Owen wanted to come watch his big brother Josh.  He got a little bored, and had to entertain himself by taking selfies on my phone.

I love these two handsome boys!

Nutella

Kate's new favorite food is Nutella sandwiches.  I can't blame her, they are pretty delicious.  But she can't eat them without making a chocolatey mess of herself.

Shoes and Umbrellas

Nate needed new shoes.  His feet grow so fast these days.  I had promised him I'd take him shoe shopping a few weekends back, but the weekend went by too fast, and on Monday morning, Nate cried as he had to put on his too small shoes again.  So when he came home from school, I told him we were going shoe shopping.  Of course, I had a few kids that insisted on tagging along with us.  I ended up coming out of the store with umbrellas for all the younger kids and shoes for Nate, Aaron, Savannah, Sara, Kate and Owen.  It was a little more than the one pair of shoes that I had intended to buy, but I had some really happy kids because of it.

Ninjas

Sara is my creative child.  She thinks up the funnest games to play with her younger siblings.  One night it was ninjas.

It was such a hit, that it had to happen again the next night.

Basketball

Sara is playing basketball through the YMCA again this year.  She played two years ago, and loved it.  Last year I "dropped the ball" and didn't get her signed up, so this year I made sure I watched for the registration deadline so I could get her signed up.  She is a great player, and is lucky to have height on her side.  She gets almost every rebound and makes a good majority of her teams points each week.  It is so fun watching her play!

Owen

At least 20 times a day Owen whispers in my ear, "I love my toys very much, but I love you the most". And it melts my heart, every single time.  I never get tired of hearing it.  He is such a sweet, thoughtful, compassionate boy.  I love that I get to spend my days with him.

Best Friends

Every girl needs a best friend, and Kate has gotten an early start with hers.  Zoey lives next door, and is just 4 months older than Kate.  The minute Kate wakes up in the morning, she starts begging to play with Zoey.  They are so cute together.
