This past year went by way too fast. Kate turned 1 year old on April 22nd. We had a little party for her with our family, the Moores (her second family), and Grandma and Grandpa Howell.
Kate wasn't much into opening presents. She pulled a little at the paper, but couldn't really figure out how to get the gift open.
When she moved on to eating the paper, I gave the other kids the go ahead to just open her presents for her. They were all pretty pleased with that.
She got lots of adorable clothes, and a new ball (Owen picked it out himself).
Once presents were opened, the boys disappeared outside to play.
Then I gathered everyone in for cake.
Kate needed a little help blowing out her candle.
While the rest of us ate cake, Kate had her very own cupcake.
Kate hadn't been feeling well that day, and she quickly got tired of eating her cupcake.
But after a bath and some new Minnie Mouse jammies, she was happy again.
My three girls. It seems like just yesterday Savannah and Sara were Kate's age. It is so great to see them be so attentive and good with their little sister. I hope Kate doesn't grow up as fast as they did.
