And then the beam across the top (that the swings hung from) cracked in two. So we had to rebuild our swing set. And we figured that while we were at it, we might as well make it bigger to fit the needs of our growing children. So, it went from 6 feet to 10 feet.
And now it's totally awesome and we have the coolest swingset on our street.
We built it during spring break. It took two days to build (one day of me and Scott working on it, and one day of Scott and my dad working on it). My parents came to visit for a few days during spring break, and in between the rain storms, we were able to get the swingset finished.
The kids love it. Scott and I have even enjoyed swinging on it a few times. And the climbing rope on the end is surprisingly very popular with all the kids.
